Are you or your partner pregnant and feel worried about the pregnancy, the upcoming birth or the transition to becoming a parent? Perhaps you are a new parent and feel overwhelmed with the transition to parenthood or with the addition of a new baby to the family?
Or maybe you feel like you are failing as a parent and feel overwhelmed with feelings of parental guilt and shame? The pressure to hold everything together, to live up to high societal standards of motherhood and fatherhood, while simultaneously trying to hold on to your own identity and sense of self can be exhausting.
Conceiving, birthing, and parenting a child can be challenging for most individuals and families. Yet, the birth of a child can also bring forth new possibilities within us and an opportunity to live an authentic life full of meaning and purpose. This path is not always easy, and is not always clear, but I can help you discover and be the version of person, parent, or partner you want to be.
We are relational beings, and in fact, we were not designed to parent in isolation, or to struggle through parenthood alone. You do not have to struggle and/or suffer alone. I can work with you to identify tools and solutions to bring relief from the difficulties you are experiencing. We will collaboratively work together to get you on track to feeling like yourself again. There is always hope and you will get better.
We offer in-person and online clinical counselling and birth doula support to guide you and your family through pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum. and beyond. At Ayuda Wellness we help prepare you to give birth and parent your way while providing non-judgmental, compassionate care for you and your family. Whether you are expecting and are looking for doula support or have made the decision to seek counselling, we are happy to help support you.
